Hi, I was diagnosed with hyperthyroid 4 1/2 yrs ago, after giving birth to my 2nd child. I've been on anti-thyroid drug ever since but have never gone into remission before. All these yrs i thought i was having graves disease, base on the information which i've obtained from the websites. But last week i was told by my new endo docto that i could be having hashimoto disease, base on the high anti-TPO blood test result taken recently. Another word is that my hyper symtoms could be trasient....I am very confused now as i've already made up my mind to go for the thyroidectomy, and now my doctor is asking me to 'wait & see'. She said my thyriod will slowly 'burn out' and i'll become hypothyroid eventually, it's just a matter of time. However, i don't think i've waited long enough. Over the yrs my goiter has enlarge substantially & it really affected me alot, not to mention my self esteem...I just want to get rid of it, once and for all. My bloodtest reading Free T4 : 44.89 Free T3 : 13.37 Anti-TPO is: >1000.0 TSH is: <0.019 TSH Receptor Ab : 34.10 Any advise and feedback will be greatly appreciated. Thanks

I have TSH 14.7 and normal T4.......awaiting results of free T3....... what is going on? i was overdosed 10 times on T4 last May and still not normal!!
