I was diagnosed in April last year with Graves. My maintenance dose of carbimazole was 5mg a day but about 3 months ago I started to get hypo symptoms. My blood test showed that my levels were close to the hypo border but my specialist wouldn't do anything because technically I was still in the 'normal' range. Anyway, the hypo symptoms became unbearable so I started taking 5mg every other day ( without telling my specialist). That worked for a few months but now I am feeling hypo again. I dont know what to do.. I dont think it would be wise to take the Carbimazole every 3 days. For a while I thought that maybe the Graves had gone but a blood test showed I still has the antibodies.Has anyone got any advice ? Many thanks.
