Kathy, I too am interested in what could be done about this. I have been taking sythroid for 2 months and my hair is still coming out in handfuls. My doctor said that it would stop in the next 5 weeks (before my next office visit). He said that it was because of my hypothyroidism and when my TSH was in the normal range, it would stop. My TSH was a 6 (down from 78 in June). I have been taking alot of vitamins, but my doctor said they wouldn't help my particular situation until my TSH was normal. While I don't need to get a wig yet, I will if this doesn't stop and 5 weeks seems like an awfully long time to wait.
