Hi Everyone,
I never took Tapazole so I don't have any personal experience with it. However, after seeing so many people who have taken it complain of itching skin or hives, I'm wondering about something.
I get itchy skin when I get zinc deficient and according to the Nutrition Almanac zinc deficiency causes acne, dermatitis, and eczema.
What I'm wondering is whether Tapazole somehow interferes with zinc metabolism and that this is the pathway by which Tapazole reduces thyroid hormone levels. We know that when hypers take zinc, it usually increases hyper symptoms.
Has anyone ever tried zinc to see if it relieves the itchy skin and hives caused by Tapazole?
P.S. If you try zinc, just make sure that you use only a small amount (5-10 mgs), are also taking copper, and watch your hyper symptoms to see if you get any increase in those.
